The ‘SRES Mission 1,000’ is a project to raise awareness to 1,000+ adults, over the age of 50, about the services of a Seniors Real Estate Specialist who can provide a customized plan for their late in life real estate needs.
In addition, ‘SRES Mission 1,000’ will collect and donate, to the value of $1,000, toiletries and personal care items for Mending The Gap’s basic needs assistance program, which are delivered to the homes of low- income seniors every month.
It’s more than property – it’s about the people!
The Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) is a National Association of Realtors® designation that provides Realtors® with the knowledge and experience to work with older adults as they consider downsizing or resizing from where they live. Since 2011, approximately 10,000 people reach the age of 65 every day – which is a large number of people who are in need of information that will help them to make an informed decision as they find themselves having to move. A late in life move for an older adult could affect Medicare, finances and their health. A Seniors Real Estate Specialist is equipped with the skills, patience, knowledge and network of senior providers that will help the process to be as stress free as possible. A no-obligation complimentary consultation with an SRES will provide the older adult, and family members, with a plan of action to help them transition.
You choose a specialist for your finances, your health, your legal work, so why not a specialist for your real estate needs?!
- Older adults who are aware of their options make better decisions in a timely manner
- Older adults with aging ailments have better quality of life if the place they live is conducive to their physical and emotional needs
- People who consult and work with a specialist have a better experience and a less stressful outcome
- Adult children who are responsible for organizing a house move for an older parent would benefit greatly from consulting with a SRES
Advice and referral is an important part of the work carried out by the SRES, who knows everyone is good at something, but not everyone has the time or skill to do everything. A SRES has a network of resources, senior service providers and skilled vendors (such as inspectors, contractors, move managers, elder law attorneys, estate planners) to assist their clients in the process.
Atlanta Seniors Real Estate has a team of agents working the east Atlanta area and partners with a number of SRES Realtors® across Metro Atlanta. When needed we are also able to connect clients with SRES Realtors® across the country.
Atlanta Seniors Real Estate collaborates with various Senior Providers creating a win-win, particularly for our clients who if needed will engage with service providers who are sensitive to the needs of older adults.
